Funding Opportunities

Pilot/Feasibility Grants

The Liver Center awards 3 Pilot/Feasibility Grants of $30,000 each year.  The goal of the Pilot/Feasibility program is to support novel projects that are directly relevant to the Center's mission and have a strong likelihood of future extramural funding.  Funding is for one year only and is not renewable.

The Pilot/Feasibility program is open to:

  • Early-stage investigators and senior trainees in the field of hepatology research
  • Established investigators from other disciplines with new liver-related projects
  • Existing Center members with new ideas completely divergent from their established expertise

The Pilot/Feasibility application cycle begins each December with a call for letters of intent.  Letters are reviewed in January, and competitive candidates are invited to submit full applications in March.  Awardees are selected by the Center's External Advisory Board in April. More information and application instructions can be found here.
